Judith Bishop, CNM, is a professor in the department of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. She earned her midwifery degree from Columbia University and her master's in public health in Maternal Child Health from University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include nitrous oxide use in labor, prenatal screening/diagnosis and decision-making, mode of delivery, episiotomy, delivery techniques and perineal trauma, midwifery involvement in medical education, and international maternal health.
